One of the novel crossings and without height above sea level. Suitable for lovers of trekking and nature. Touring the intense greens of Tucumán, the high meadows of Tafi del Valle, with the indescribable view to the south is a free invitation to the wonderful world of northern nature. And if on top of that we add an attractive route between valleys and great mountains, crossing rivers and ascending steep slopes, we are talking about an important adventure that completes us with little explored nature.
Day 1: Meeting in Tafi del Valle. Overnight in country house. Equipment check and brief tours of the town.
Day 2: Presentation of guides, equipment check and early transfer to the start of the trek. First section: route to La Ciénaga. We ascend the slopes facing north of Tafi del Valle until we reach the pass towards the valley of La Ciénaga. Great views of the region and the hills that are part of the Aconquija. Arrival at the small settlement where there is a school. Camp Arming. Rest. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Breakfast. Second section of the walk to Anfama, a small area sheltered by great landscapes of the upper Tucumán. We ascend through the valley of La Ciénaga until we reach the great viewpoint. A long descent through tall vegetation leaves us at the Anfama camp. Camp set up. Rest. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast. This day we continue descending to the Valleys of El Siambón through terrain with dense vegetation and some fording of important riverbeds. Arrival at noon to the Rio Grande bridge, in El Siambón. End of the trek. Transfer to San Miguel de Tucumán. End of the tour and our services.
Crossing with considerable ascents and descents. River fords.
Each one must carry their own backpack carrying their equipment (sleeping bag, clothing, others) with between 12 and 15 kg approximately.
4 days walking through the valleys and the heights of the Jardin de la República
The Inoxidables
In all our expeditions we offer the service of meals IN FULL BOARD PLAN.
Tents for 3 seasons, for 2 or 3 people to share
In general we have a system of walking 3 or 4 hours in the morning; we make a big lunch stop and walk as much in the afternoon to the place where we set up camp.
The north of Argentina is characterized by having a significant thermal amplitude (hot during the day and cool at night and early morning). There is also the so-called "Bolivian Winter". This means that in our summer (December to March) there is the rainy season. In our winter it doesn't rain but the thermal amplitude is a little more noticeable and the cold at night and early morning can be felt, especially in the high altitude camps (more than 2500 meters above sea level) like two of this route. You have to protect yourself a lot from the sun with a hat-cap, neckerchiefs, sunscreen and mountain glasses. And for the night it is important to have a good sleeping bag and coat since the temperature can drop below 0° Celsius.
The sleeping bags must be able to withstand a temperature of 0° Comfort, so as to be able to rest peacefully. The divet-goose feather material is the best, but the synthetic ones today also have modern materials and high performance. They can be rented.
In general, these are very heterogeneous groups (all kinds of people). Varied ages and sexes, people traveling alone, accompanied by a friend, couples, families, etc.
It is not decisive that you are an updated athlete and that you train 4 times a week. But it is important that you know that the better you are physically, it will always be better. The idea of ??these adventures is that you can enjoy it and not suffer it. If you don't usually train, go for a run, bike or other aerobic activity, we recommend that you attend one of our weekly training classes associated with mountain activities. And if you start by going for a walk with a backpack loaded with no less than 8 kilograms and doing several kilometers per week and also going up and down stairs or slopes in series of 20 uninterrupted minutes. Ask us for a suitable training plan.
The tents are included in the program, by our company. But if you want to bring one, you can. Just ask us.
