The trek to Everest Base Camp is one of the most famous in the world. It takes us to the heart of the Nepalese Himalayas, with incredible views of the largest peaks on the planet. The culture of Nepal is amazing.
In addition to the Mother Goddess Chomolungma, which we Westerners call Everest, we will walk under myths such as Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Khumjung, Pumori... an endless number of majestic mountains. Contacts with the residents are constant and reach their zenith in Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital. In addition, we have the possibility of visiting unique Buddhist monasteries such as Tengboche.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Assistance at Kathmandu airport and transfer to the hotel. Meeting in Kathmandu. Meeting with the group, presentation of guides, initial talk. In the afternoon we enjoyed a visit to the city and its most important monuments, such as the Monkey Temple. Free
Day 2: Tours in Kathmandu Kathmandu is the cultural and historical heart of Nepal.
The city presents a fascinating mix of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Western influences. It is proposed to take an excursion (extra cost) to the Bagmati River crematorium and Bhaktapur, which was the capital of Nepal until the mid-15th century. Return to the city, final preparations for trekking.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Lukla (40 min flight) - Phakding [2656m]
We fly to Lukla, start of the trek. After meeting the porters, we start trekking through the Dudh Koshi valley to spend the night in Phakding.
Approximate : 4 hours.
Day 4: Phakding - Namche Bazaar [3450m]
Today we will cross the river several times on spectacular hanging bridges. After Monjo (lunch) we will enter the Sagarmatha National Park. Afterwards we will have a good climb to Namche. If the day is clear, here we can enjoy the first views of Everest. Namche is the main trade in the Khumbu region, and Hindu merchants and caravans of Tibetan yaks can be seen circulating through its streets. Night in Namche.

Day 5: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Namche is a perfect place to spend the first day of acclimatization before continuing to climb towards Tengboche. We can visit the Khunde hospital, built by Edmund Hillary, or take a walk for a couple of hours to take in the views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest.
Day 6: Namche Bazaar – Tengboche [3860m]
Today we will pass several villages and cross a bridge over the river that takes us to Phunki Tanga (lunch). This village is a perfect place to have a picnic and rest a little before facing the climb to Tengboche. Tengboche is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu. From our lodge we can enjoy spectacular views of the peaks of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam.
Day 7: Tengboche - Pangboche (4250m)
We will descend through a forest, cross the Imja Khola, and ascend to the village of Pangboche. This village is located just opposite the Ama Dablam (6,856 m). Here we will stay two days to acclimatize and visit the Ama Dablam base camp.
Approximate time: 5h
Day 8: Ama Dablam Base Camp and Acclimatization in Pangboche
This day the proposal is to make the walk to the Ama Dablam Base Camp, about 5000 meters high. Return to Pangnoche in the afternoon. Those who wish to rest can do so as well.
Day 9: Pangboche - Dingboche (4450m)
We will continue ascending the great valley, in this case we will cross to the other flank, to finally access Dingboche, the entrance village to the Island Peak valley and from where we can get great views of the south face of Lothse and also of Ama Dablam. .

Day 10: Dingboche - Duglha - Lobuche (4930)
We continue our trek in the shadow of the impressive peaks of Cholatse and Tawache. We climb to the foot of the Khumbu glacier, pass through Duglha. In the afternoon the trail zigzags up the terminal moraine of the glacier. At the end of the climb we found many kerns, built in memory of all the Sherpas who died in the ascent of Everest.

Day 11: Lobuche – Everest Base Camp [5357m] – Gorak Shep [5130m]
We started the day early to arrive at Everest Base Camp in good time. It takes us several hours to cross the Khumbu glacier. At base camp, we may find an expedition preparing to ascend the highest peak in the world. We return to Gorak Shep, and spend the night there, at more than 5100 meters above sea level.

Day 12: Gorak Shep - Kala Patar (optional) - Dingboche [4400m] / Helicopter Descent program option (approximately 1100 usd extra per person)
Day of ascent (optional) to Kala Patar, the summit that is a great viewpoint of all the great mountains (Everest, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, etc.). Then we will descend to Dingboche (4380 meters above sea level) where we will spend the night.
Note: Those who have contracted the short program will descend by helicopter to Khatmandu here (in case of bad weather, it is evaluated whether to descend on foot until it improves or wait).

Day 13: Dingboche – Tengboche [3800m]
Descent to Tengboche, the village of the great temple where we had already passed on the way out.
Day 14: Tengboche - Namche Bazaar.
Descent to Namche.
Day 15: Namche Bazaar - Lukla
Trekking to Lukla, last night in the valley. This afternoon in the mountains is a good opportunity to have a farewell party with the guides and porters, try the Sherpa dance, and remember all the good moments of the trek.
Day 16: Flight to Kathmandu
In the morning we take a flight that takes us back to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel and free afternoon + farewell dinner.
Day 17: End and Return
Free - Farewell to the group. The end of the trip. Transfer to the airport. Ask if you want to reserve accommodation for one or more nights. Option for new excursions.
It is one of the best-known treks in the world. You have to walk carrying your own backpack, but no more than 8 kilos.
Local foods; mainly dishes based on legumes, potatoes, other vegetables, rice, some meat.
Both at noon and at night you eat in paradores that are within the route, with hot dishes.
